Kids are near and dear to our hearts. Smiling Kids, Inc was founded in 2003 to fill a simple need, something everyone should be able to experience as a kid, the excitement and thrill of receiving a special gift on their birthday. There are a number of charities dedicated to helping families with gifts for children-in-need during the holiday season but what about the other important milestones in their lives, particularly birthdays? Our charity is dedicated to filling this void by aligning with social service organizations in Massachusetts who provide services to family and children-in-need.
Guiding Principles
1. Remain Anonymous
Smiling Kids, Inc. is a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) organization. We operate anonymously, meaning the agencies and social service organizations we align with are responsible for screening and delivering the item(s) to qualified families. The gift the child receives comes from their parent/guardian, making Smiling Kids, Inc. a service as much for the parents as it is for the children.
2. Focus on programs for children and teens-in-need
Every charity has it’s mission. Our mission is to focus on making the simple experiences in a child’s life more special. Whether it is a child receiving a birthday present through one of our social service partners; or a child hosting a Party with Purpose to help other kids by raising money to support Smiling Kids to make those birthday presents a reality.
3. ALL contributions are used to buy birthday presents for children-in-need throughout Massachusetts
Thanks to separate private contributions operating costs for Smiling Kids Inc. are entirely subsidized. 100% of all contributions are utilized to provide birthday presents for the children we help.
